Frequently asked

My swipe for Gee or Haw isn't registering at the fork

Swipe once the leaders are inside the highlighted call window near the fork — swiping too early or too late outside that window won't turn the team. A clean swipe within the window is enough; you don't need to swipe hard or repeat it.

A dog on my roster won't hook up to the gangline

A dog that needs rest is greyed out in the slot picker until its energy and feet recover. Give it a rest day in the Kennel tab, or use "Hook up rested team" to fill the gangline automatically with dogs that are ready to run.

The camera doesn't open for a dog portrait

Check Settings → Gee Haw on your device and confirm Camera access is allowed. If you declined the permission prompt the first time, iOS won't ask again — you'll need to enable it from the Settings app.

I stopped getting my daily trail report notification

Notifications can be turned off system-wide for the app. Check Settings → Notifications → Gee Haw on your device, and check the toggle inside the app's own Settings screen too — both need to be on.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Gee Haw runs entirely offline. Your kennel, season and logbook are all saved on your device.

Will I lose my kennel if I delete the app?

Yes — everything is stored locally, so removing the app removes your saved kennel, season progress and logbook with it. There's currently no cloud backup or transfer between devices.
