Gee Haw collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no network calls of any kind. Your kennel, your season and your settings stay on your device, and they never leave it.
Data we collect
None. Gee Haw does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data, usage data or device identifiers. The app has no servers, no third-party SDKs, no analytics libraries and no advertising network. It works fully offline.
What is stored on your device
Everything you do in Gee Haw is saved locally, in a small database inside the app's own storage on your device:
- Your kennel roster: dog names, positions, fatigue, feet condition and any portrait you add
- Your gangline setup, bootie choices and rest-day decisions
- Season progress: race results, standings, checkpoint choices and your logbook of runs
- Bookmarks you save in the Musher's Guide
- App settings: music, sound, haptics and notification preferences
This information never leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes it permanently, and we have no copy of it anywhere.
Camera
If you choose "Take photo" when setting a dog's portrait, Gee Haw opens the camera so you can take a picture. The photo is processed and stored only inside the app's own storage on your device, purely to illustrate that dog's card in your kennel. It is never uploaded, shared or analyzed by us, and the app cannot access the camera without your explicit permission.
Photo library
If you choose "Choose photo" instead, Gee Haw uses Apple's built-in picker (PHPicker) to let you select an existing photo. This picker runs outside the app, so Gee Haw only ever receives the single photo you pick — it never gets a list of your other photos or browsing access to your library.
Notifications
Gee Haw can send local notifications — a daily trail report and a reminder on race day — entirely generated and scheduled on your device. We ask for notification permission only when you turn this feature on in Settings, and you can turn it off, or disable notifications for the app entirely in iOS Settings, at any time. No notification data is sent anywhere; nothing about these notifications reaches us or anyone else.
Children's privacy
Gee Haw does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to review, store or delete on behalf of a child.
Third parties
Gee Haw does not use any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services. No data is shared with third parties because no data leaves your device in the first place.
